There are times when life throws you lemons, you can’t make lemonades right away because the lemons won’t stop dropping. Never say it’s called “a series of unfortunate events” because admit it, you get blessings everyday. Remember, small steps are still progress.
When you learn to be grateful, you stop complaining and start looking at the brighter side of things. The truth is, human as we are, we can’t be contented easily. Our thirst for success and hunger for achievement will always be there. Yet, how big or small, the miracles we receive everyday are priceless.
Let’s be honest. No one can remain motivated their whole life. We all have bad days that sometimes turn in to weeks or even months. What do you do then during these times?
PRAY. Never cease to pray. Remember Matthew 7:7-8, ” Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye. shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh. findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” If you think your prayers are not heard, be patient. think of Joseph when he was in prison, betrayed by his brothers and friends. He prayed, “How long, O Lord?”. Only He knows when He will grant our prayers. Trust His plan.
CELEBRATE LIFE. Whatever you’re going through right now, you are still alive! Always think of something that will make you happy provided you won’t be hurting someone in the process and don’t forget, everything in moderation.
BOND WITH YOUR LOVED ONES. Your boyfriend/girlfriend, family, best friends are your support system. They love you for who you are. When you’re down, it’s nice to be surrounded with genuine people who will cheer you up and make your day brighter.
HELP OTHER PEOPLE. When you’re sad or sick, our tendency is to self-pity. However, when you help others, you’re not only doing a good deed but you also heal yourself in the process.
LOOK FORWARD. You know the saying, “The rainbow comes after the rain. ” When you encounter difficulties, just hang in there, the rainbow is coming. Plan on what you will do after to celebrate your victory!
Everyone is fighting a battle so don’t think that you’re alone. There are a lot of people who love and support you. Don’t ever think of quitting. There is more to your life. Keep going. Fall in love with the process of becoming the best version of yourself.
